Endorsement

An Endorsement is an amendment to an insurance policy, usually by means of an attached rider. In the title industry, an endorsement is a modification to the standard form of title insurance policy.

The endoresement affirmatively insures the policy holder for an issue that has been raised on the title search for the property or is generally excluded from coverage by the title company.
